Tree Planting Events

Family friendly Kids Outdoor

Help us add more trees towards the City of Mississauga’s goal of planting one million trees by joining a tree planting event at a local park.

No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm. We’ll teach you how to plant like a pro and help make our park even more beautiful. Equipment such as shovels will be provided. Online registration is required.

Saturday September 19, 2026 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Saturday October 3, 2026 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Saturday October 17, 2026 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Saturday October 24, 2026 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Saturday, October 31, 2026 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

  • Knotty Pine Park, 835 Knotty Pine Grove
  • Come plant some boo-tiful native trees and shrubs at Knotty Pine Park during our Trick or Trees public tree planting event! Put on your best Halloween costume for a chance to win a prize and help us add more trees towards the City of Mississauga’s goal of planting one million trees.
  • Register for Trick or Trees

Guidelines:

  • Online registration is required.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather. Wear closed-toed, sturdy shoes and long pants.
  • Equipment such as shovels will be provided. You may also bring your own.
  • Staff on site can sign off volunteer hours for youth under 18 years old at the Trick or Trees event.
  • Additional instructions will be provided by email closer to the event date.
