Refining the Draft Bylaw Drop-in Session
Help refine Leduc’s latest draft Land Use Bylaw
The City of Leduc is refining its Land Use Bylaw, which helps guide how land and buildings are used and developed across the city. Community feedback so far shows residents want thoughtful, balanced growth with emphasis on more housing options, especially in growing areas, while also carefully integrating new housing types in established neighbourhoods to fit the existing neighbourhood scale and context.
Your feedback will help shape the next draft before it is presented for public hearing and Council consideration.
This round of feedback will focus on how the refined Land Use Bylaw achieves what the City set out to accomplish. The project’s original goals included making the bylaw easier to understand and use, removing unnecessary barriers, supporting housing choice and appropriate growth, providing greater flexibility (where appropriate), and supporting complete and adaptable communities. Get involved and:
- See how feedback from earlier engagement has influenced the draft.
- Learn about the key changes proposed in the refined Land Use Bylaw.
- Explore the Housing Design Catalogue and how it is intended to support more housing options in Leduc.
- Tell us what you think and identify and remaining questions or considerations before the Land Use Bylaw is finalized.
A full draft version of the renewed Land Use Bylaw and a preview of the Housing Design Catalogue will be posted the week of Sept. 21, 2026. The Housing Design Catalogue is a design tool for homeowners, builders and developers to support housing development.
